After-School Enrichment

GREEN VALLEY ELEMENTARY
After-school enrichment (ASE) at Green Valley offers a diverse range of activities designed to ignite creativity, spark curiosity, and develop new skills. From arts and crafts to science experiments, and sports, there’s something for everyone! Led by passionate instructors, our program provides a fun and engaging environment where kids can explore their interests, make new friends, and continue learning outside the classroom. Whether they’re trying something completely new or honing an existing talent, our enrichment activities help students grow, build confidence, and have a great time along the way!

ASE classes are taught by independent vendors. ASE is NOT affiliated with Green Valley Elementary School, PTA or Learning Fund.

ALL participants will be required to abide by a ASE code of conduct.

Green Valley Theater Company (GVTC) is back! An annual tradition, GVTC is a musical theater production written by Green Valley Staff featuring short skits performed by students each spring.
Green Valley Theater Company is open to 4th and 5th grade students only. Price includes classes/rehearsals, professional copy of the program, theater set, and a GVTC T-Shirt, which will be the primary costume. All other costumes will include only small items (such as animal ears or something similar), which are mostly available from the school.

All cast members are expected to attend all rehearsals unless ill. Please email Leanne Alexander with any questions regarding attendance.
PLEASE NOTE: There is a mandatory parents meeting (approx. 15 minutes) after the second rehearsal at 4:00pm on 1/12.

Children will learn the Spanish language in a fun, comfortable learning environment. Students will learn real Spanish in an immersion setting, as well as become familiar with cultural elements of Spanish-speaking countries.
Our curriculum consists of: Learning ABC’s, numbers, colors, vocabulary words, phrases (conversation), poems, songs, art projects, games and much more.
The goal of our program is to attain conversational skills and to build a Spanish language foundation for when they enter middle school. New material is introduced each session.

Kindness for kids: For kids, kindness means being nice and helpful to others, showing care and respect, and doing things that make people feel good.
Yoga for kids: For kids, yoga is a fun way to move your body, breathe deeply, and learn to be mindful, helping you feel good and calm, and building strength and flexibility.

In The AI Game Creator: Coding Fun with Scratch, children will dive into the exciting world of game design, animation, and artificial intelligence. Using Scratch’s visual block coding, students will learn core programming concepts such as X and Y coordinates, loops, variables, functions, if-then-else statements, clones, operators, and randomization while building their own interactive video games.
Campers will bring their games to life with custom animations, sound effects, and music, then enhance them using AI-generated images, characters, and voices. As they design challenges, code reactions, and fine-tune gameplay, students will develop logic, creativity, and problem-solving skills. This camp turns coding into a playground for imagination, where every child becomes both a game designer and AI innovator.
